Musician and actor Demi Lovato and singer-songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes are officially married! The couple met in the studio in January 2022, while working together on music for Demi’s album Holy Fvck. After nearly two years of dating, Jordan proposed to the Disney Channel alum in December 2023. He worked with Material Good’s Teresa Panico to create the pear-shaped diamond ring.
This weekend, the wedding took place in California—and at around 4 p.m. on Sunday, the pair said “I do.” The bride walked down the aisle wearing a pearl white Vivienne Westwood dress made with heavy silk satin fabric and featuring a corset bodice. “I have been a fan of Vivienne Westwood’s designs for a long time,” Demi tells Vogue.

“When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne’s designs—specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets,” she added. Working with her stylist Jill Jacobs, Demi completed the look with a single tier, custom length cathedral-style veil made from ivory tulle.

The dress was created over the course of five fittings in Los Angeles, with the Vivienne Westwood couture team traveling over from London to bring the look to life. The entire process began with an image of a Westwood gown that Demi found online; she was drawn to it for both its creative draping and use of corsetry, she explains. Working with the Westwood team, the image served as the starting point, with design changes to the skirt and modifications to the top to create a custom gown specifically for Demi. “We were not only able to work off that [initial] inspiration, but we added touches that really make this dress so special to me,” she says.

The finished piece included the corsetry Demi loved so much, as well as a romantic neckline that swept across the shoulders and was cinched at the waist, with bespoke draped detailing at the front. The design was partly inspired by high society women of the 18th century, while the A-line shape of the skirt was folded and draped to be reminiscent of ancient Greek statues.

The design process with the Westwood team was very hands on, Demi notes. The first session was all about mixing and matching top and skirt options. From there, the team made the vision come to a reality with detailed fittings, honing in on each element of not only the design, but the construction. Demi was part of every decision, large and small. “I love everything about the dress,” she adds.
For the reception, Demi changed into an ivory silk satin column dress with a draped corset top, also by Vivienne Westwood. The dress featured broken pearls cascading from the neckline. Called the Audrey, it offers a modern take on a classic silhouette—with an asymmetrical twist—and is meant to evoke the golden age of cinema.

“There was so much attention to detail on the reception dress beading,” Demi says. “The pearl detail and draping is such a special element, and each strand was draped and attached by hand, one by one. It’s a one-of-a-kind piece that makes me feel so special.”

The night before the wedding, the pop star and her now-husband—who wore a Saint Laurent suit, and jewelry by David Yurman and Spinelli Kilcollin—hosted their rehearsal dinner. Event planner Mindy Weiss, who is overseeing all the weekend’s festivities, played master of ceremonies, directing the bridal party on exactly where they needed to be and what they needed to be doing during the service. After the run through, the group gathered for an intimate dinner before calling it an early night ahead of the main event the next day.
Finally, as of this afternoon, Demi and Jordan were officially married—with a whole evening of celebrations to come.
